School Marketing/ Development/Advisory Committee
The Marketing/Development/Advisory Committee members are the Pastor, School Principal, two parents who are non-parishioners, two parents who are parishioners, and the Parish Council Education Commission representative. This committee acts in various capacities to protect the best interests of the school.
The purpose of and modus operandi of the Marketing/Development/Advisory Committee are as follows:
- The School Advisory Committee's primary function is to advise the Pastor and the Principal in matters of school finances, safety, student development, faculty issues and any other areas of school administration so as to provide the best possible program for the moral, intellectual, and physical development of the children.
- The committee will exercise discretion and professionalism in all matters.
- The committee will identify the planning and policy needs of the school which include:
- The role of the school within the context of the total parish mission
- Forming a positive relationship between the school, parish community and the larger community of Ashland
- Efforts to extend appreciation for teachers and school staff
- Reviewing overall education, curriculum and development efforts
- Making recommendations on other policies which seem necessary and reviewing such policies as they relate to the Diocesan educational policies
- The committee will act as a sounding board for the principal.
- The committee will work with the pastor and principal to establish, promote, and implement goals relative to the following:
- fundraising/endowment
- increasing enrollment
- marketing the school
- developing programs
