School Support/Volunteers

 

 

School Support Organization (S.S.O.)

The purpose of this organization is to support the educational goals of the school. This includes open communication, financially supported activities, publicity, and promoting public relations. The membership shall include all staff, parents, guardians, and interested parishioners. Participation by all parents is necessary to accomplish the most for the school. Parents are encouraged to sign up and help with one or more committees. If you have a special area of interest not listed please let us know.

Scrip Committee
Help with promotion and sales of the money/gift cards.

Hospitality/ Special Events
This committee provides refreshments and sometimes decorations for various school functions.

Staff Appreciation Lunch
This committee does the planning, food preparation, and serving of the lunch during Catholic Schools Week .

Winter Olympics/Field Day

Help our physical education teacher with the various games and events on these two days.

Library Volunteers
Must be available on a weekly basis to come in and help in the library. This is usually only once a week for an hour or two.

Book Fair
Many volunteers are needed to help with the book fair during the school day and on Sunday during Catholic Schools Week.

Rummage Sale
Help is needed to organize all donations and work the sale.

School Family Dance
This group plans the dance and works the concession stand at the dance.

Eighth Grade Graduation Breakfast
Seventh grade parents are responsible for organizing this breakfast. Please sign up if you are the parent of a seventh grade student.

Yearbook
We need one or two people per grade to organize and put together the yearbook page for each class.

Santa's Workshop
Organize craft activities and help students make gifts during the workshop. Must be available to work during the school day.

Used Uniform Sale
Workers are needed to set up, work during the sale, and tear down.

Pizza with Santa
Many volunteers are needed to plan, organize, and work.

Box Tops and Campbell's Labels
Please keep saving Box Tops and Campbell's Labels

Book Fair
Parents are needed to work at the Book Fair which is held during Catholic Schools Week.

Blood Drive
Help with food donations, serve refreshments, watch children of donors
