Achievements

Many students at St. Edward School participate in academic competitions and achieve high academic awards.

• Students in fifth through eighth grade participate in a school science fair. Approximately 45% receive superior awards on the local level and move on to compete in the Mohican District Science Fair at Ashland University. Each year students have qualified to go on to the state level.
  
  
• All grades are encouraged to compete in: poster and essay contests. The middle school grades compete in the Ashland County Spelling Bee and the God, Flag, and Country speech contest.
  Students have received awards at these events on several occasions.
  
  
• 89% of our alumni attend college Almost every year St. Edward School claims alumni as valedictorians and/or merit scholars from the various high schools within Ashland County. St. Edward School claimed one valedictorian and one salutatorian from the Ashland High School class of 2008. One graduate was a National Merit Scholar Finalist and received the National Merit Scholar scholarship.
